Did the Olympics kill our efforts?

Post by Crappy Pants »

So I must ask if the Olympics killed our efforts in WOW recently or did something else take place I missed?

It has been very lonely.

I had something very overwhelming from my past catch up with me, in a good way. I'm still down for raids/instances and whatnot but this something is on another server. I check here often tho, so if something is planned, holler.

My bad. I've had my nose stuck in Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age as of late.

I know my wife plays every day, unlike her husband. I also know that F u z z i e is on daily too. With more school and work I've gone from dad to super casual player. Now when I get on it's to grab a few badges and get out. But I do want to change that.

My hope is to take you 3 over the remaining level cap to 80, run you through 5 level heroic and gear you up some prior to Cataclysm. I suspect we need to accomplish this prior to June, and I think through LFG and targeted run throughs we can accomplish this goal easy.

When we have 5 at 80 let's set a regular day of the week to meet for 1-2 hours and do a 5 man heroic run. This will become the foundation of activity we need to restart our antics.

I see this regular meeting our signal to open up the ranks to people who are just leveling up with alts or who want a completely casual experience.

So where are we with levels, and where do we need to go to get that completed asap.

And where is Data in the leveling system, can we usher him along by swooping down and taking him through some higher level instances to get the biggest bang for the buck.

**Note to CotC Self, for the rest of you that are WOW capable and have read this and done nothing don't let that guilt visit you later, come to the revival, join us. At the very least download the trial version and sample the experience, it really is not all that bad....

Best thing to do would be get a 5 man once all are 80 and farm regular TOC for gear (still do the random for badges) since the regular TOC gear is pretty badass. Then farm heroics for specific gear.

Cataclysm will up the level cap to 85. My guess is that any gear we have now will be phased out on the journey to 85. So leveling up to 80 before December is probably the most important thing.

I am about level 17. When Zoddy is home from school we work
together since he has a level 20 or so character. Work has been
killing my efforts, but I can reserve one night or weekend day per
week if there is anyone else at about my level and interested
in doing quests as I work my way up.

How about a weekend? Friday night or sometime Saturday or Sunday. I will be out of town
this Sunday, have all of Friday off and will be free Saturday too.
