Vista service pack

Post by Ender[CotC] »

So my computer auto installed vista service pack two this morning, and now my computers speed could be likened to most anyone after eating a large meal; slightly sluggish and on the way to lights out.

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but i figured i'd ask. I'm actually going to uninstall it right now, but just wanted your thoughts on this.

I've actually yet to install it, but 90% of what I've read said that it supposedly sped things up slightly rather than slowing it down.

You might be running into a driver issue. I know that Intel has released chipset driver updates post SP1. Certainly Nvidia has released new drivers. You might even find updates for your network and audio as well.

After SP1, I found some new drivers for my SCSI Controller that doubled my disk performance. Now my Vista Experience is 5.7, actually everything is a 5.9 except my CPU!
