The used laptop works great. It does everything I need, and plays some game stuff, too.
I may slap on some version of M$ Orifice, but other than that, it's a nice piece of equipment.
~$350 to my door - can't complain about that.
Thanks for the laptop advice, guys!

Open Office ( http://www.openoffice.org ) does all those neat things that M$ office does and it will even read WordPerfect docs too.Rico wrote:The used laptop works great. It does everything I need, and plays some game stuff, too.

Hell I use Google docs ( http://docs.google.com ) and that seems to work great for me
Just some options in case you do not want to spend the money for a new M$ office or spend the time to "Find an Archived copy" just some options.....

I use OpenOffice myself
Although if you do any macro programming in Excel -- Macros don't go between Excel and Openoffice very well.
