I made the jump.
I successfully made the jump to vista this weekend. I am now running Vista ultimate 64bit SP1. And other then some teamspeak issues everything seems fine. But I believe all I need to do is run teamspeak as admin and all will be fine. I like it so far. Crysis, Halflife XX, COD4 look amazing. But Vista made my 2gig of memory look pitiful.

That's b/c you only have about 1 gig or less of memory (Vista doesn't let you have the rest)

naw. You get at least 1.6 gb. i think it's failing is that it tries to be flamboyant like a mac. If it wasnt flourishing at every poorly times opportunity, i think it would run things a lot better.

Yeah between vista and spyware i am use 50% or 1gig. But its ok just get more memory, I like to have a lot of the bells and whistles. I don't use the gadgets though.

8Gb of RAM here, Vista definitely uses 1Gb of memory, even with a number of default processes disabled.
