That seems to ring a bell or two but I'd have to try it again to confirm that.Aide-de-Camp wrote:Didn't you say previously Baron that all the functions were interconnected, as in it required one person to drive a tank, another to see where it was going, and someone completely different to fire the damn thing? Or was that some other...
Maybe I will just to make sure they didn't actually make it fun with a patch or two.

Whoa now, I went to start the download for the game so i could try it again, and the update news revealed...
I guess you can all try it for a few days to see how you like it.The five day Red Orchestra free trial begins Wednesday, August 2nd. Be sure to mark your calendar and jump in for a few games next week
WW2 online was he mother of messed up games. If you wanted to drive a tank you had to simulate having all 4 apendages actually working the tank. clutch... neutral...start... in gear... release clutch.... accellerate... release accellerate... clutch... shift gears.. well you have all driven so you get the picture. And that's just the driver. To fire the tank you had to do everything to stop it but leave it running (parking brake) so the turret has power. Then go to the turret... unlock the breech...get the ammo... se my point?
To make it worse, you had to literally drive across europe in 50% scale. So if you spawned in Paris for a fight in Berlin... God help you because fast travel won't.
One time I started running to the battle then took a shower. came back and I was almost there.

thats still an accurate description of the animation in the game hehNeophyte wrote:I still picture the game as the video demo that you showed me! With the stiff, poorly animated player models that looked like the "whack-a-mole" games that you find at children's Pizza arcade.NightReaver[CotC] wrote:This has been out for some time now...It started as a mod for UT2004
