Thats a horrible move. I have no problem with players taking management positions after they retire.. BUT not when its the team they played for only a few short months after last playing with them.

There will be so many personal issues in the way of Snow making good decisions for the team... I predict huge failure and many more firings before the end of the next season :P

It really is almost as bad (maybe worse) than the Pens hiring Eddie Olczyk as the head coach when he hadn't coached a single minute or even secong at any level anywhere in hockey. This move to me is astoundingly silly-- what expreience does Snow have with salary cap management, contract negotiation, player evaluations, etc? Baron is dead-on about potential conflicts of interest and objectivity. This has to be one of the oddest moves I've seen in awhile. But couldn't happen to a better team

joke of a move.. you really have to question the logic of the owner Charles Wang. And to top it all off, Pat Lafontaine resigns.. you know if he is resigning there are some problems.

It's sad really when you look at the dynasty that the Isles once were and now they are just a laughing stock.

As for the Pens, you hear the rumour that Mark Cuban & Dan Marino want to buy them? :)

I certainly have!!! So far it looks like Cuban would have a small role in the ownership group, however if he gets the vibe as he did in Dallas he can almost singlehandedly turn this team around. Love him or hate him with Dallas the guy just knows business and how to make money.

The Pens should have a letter of intent from one ownership group as early as this week according to the pittsburgh papers... I'm hoping for Cuban in fact I wanted him to get them over Mario the first go around... I love Mario as a player (greatest player ever IMO) but he just didn't have the financial capabilities to put a winning team on the ice like billionaire Mark Cuban would have...

Almost hockey season  what 3 months???
