The 10 best movies of all time

Post by Dataspel »

In no particular order....
1. Terminator
2. Matrix
3. Chronicles of Narnia
4. Contact
5. Deep Impact
6. Patton
7. Master and Commander
8. Lord Of the Rings 1-3
9. Star Wars 1-6
10. Saving Private Ryan

There are some chick-flicks that might have made the top 10
also, but I have excluded them so as not to get banned from
this board :)

There are hundreds of movies that could be put on that list... limiting it to 10 is like not allowing Yoda to use the force

Dataspel.... please tell me you were not the only one to make the list.

Is this a list of your favorite movies?

Deep impact? what the hell is with that?!

I'm pretty sure a movie like... Shanghai noon beats deep impact. More like a "deep impact in your head"!

And how come you say: Lord of the Rings 1-3, and Star Wars 1-6
but not: Terminator 1-3 , or Matrix 1-3 ?

i do agree that the preceding sequels in those series did suck (or at least were worst than the first ones) but they were better than Deep Impact.

No i do not have beef against Deep impact.

But there are so many better movies than it.

And Mrs. Brakora picks that movie apart, right Dark?

Watch more movies. What about "artsy" movies... like Hero and comedies like Rush hour (come on... even Rush Hour beats Deep Impact)

Deffinately Underworld. Not sure about the sequel, though. The first Matrix was awesome...the other two...blew. A lot. And the Notebook...deffinately very cool. One of my favorites though..I can watch it over and over and over again.
Enemy at the Gates. WOOT!

The HBO series "Band of Brothers" whips a couple of those war flicks.

Don't forget "Midway". And "Operation Petticoat".

Oh, and a couple more:

Animal House
Caddyshack
Stripes
Vacation
Airplane!

If you are going to include TV, then I would add both
Brothers 1-6 and Buffy 1-7, dropping Deep Impact (Sob!)
and Narnia.

And yes, Midway definitely deserves a place, but I was going
for a modern list.
