UGH!! Wish I could join, but I'm "not allowed" to get a membership with them to sign up, and I probably won't even be available to play anyway, would be really cool though

We are not allowed, because we have to be "complete" subscribers to join it.
Even though it's only $40 a year, I don't use Gamespot enough for that.

Exactly, the pay subscription thing is the problem. Since I'm not old enough to have my own bank account, this has to rely on my parents to provide the credit card to purchase this account... you can guess the answer that would come from super-anti-game parents

We have those also, but I think the parent just has to be involved. I could have opened savings for my kids in their name only.

I can open accounts at any bank, basically.... (from what I have been told by varying banks when I have looked into this before) as long as I am on the account and have control of it, and am responsible for it (in the case of things like overdrawing it, etc) until the minor turns 18.

Exactly, i think. And you have to make a minimum initial deposit to set it up to, something like $200
