My kid get's a Myspace account, so being the protective parent I am, I do as well... Gotta keep track of her and make sure she's safe...

Now I'm cruzing profiles, chatting up message boards, joining groups, rating pictures... WTF?? I've become a 'friendship-networking' site whore...

STAY AWAY FROM MYSPACE!!

I'm gonna have to ween her off of this junk for my own health...

What's Myspace? Sort of the "in" thing now for chatting?

I think it's some sort of blogging community Akira. My niece has one. She's come to me several times to help her upload some photo's of herself to the site. I guess some of her school chum's have one too. This weekend I was buying stuff at Dixieline (they sell stuff for do-it-yourself home repair) and the cashier next to us got all excited when a customer said something about "my space" and she practically chased the customer out to the parking lot asking her about the my space account. What ever it is, seems addictive! I haven't tried it myself. But I know some musicians have a my space account too, and you can listen to their albums for free there.

Had a quick look at the site, umm, kinda, hmm, hard to say. ICQ via website sort of thing. Seems to be for 20 years old and younger of course. Looks like a singles dating site almost.

I have an account... mostly for snooping..but I have done some social networking on there.....you can now find classmates on there so I use it to find ppl from my graduating class....

My wife's lil brother has an account (he is now 18) but since my wife is over protective I look in at his profile trom time to time to see some of the messages folks have left for him and see the content he is showing.....but since I work in education then I also snoop any MySpace I happen to verhear while on a campus to catch any evil doings.....but it is blocked at work...good thing.....no nudity is allowed on MySpace but folks go in and join groups and sent out links to their sites where you can find nudity.

Nowadays when you're in college, you join Facebook.com, which is a blog community dedicated to college students only. My friend is on it, and he shows me all the things he does. They make up different groups to join, some very weird and stupid ones, and make their own groups whenever they feel like it. My friend is in about 65 groups, over half of them he made himself. There's no real point to it other than voicing your own oppinions.

Oooooo myspace...
I've had the pleasure of blocking this website from most of the computers at my company due to the younger employees spending hours of company time on it. Our email server now blocks all incoming myspace mails as well.

And now, my wife has an account!

It's definately geared more for the younger people, but alot of bands have spaces on there too. It is knd of addicting if you know a few active people on there though.
Personally I avoid it at all costs. The last thing I need is for some of the women I know to be posting some lewd messages on mine and having my wife come across it!

It's funny....If I were to go back, I probley have like 5 accounts.
From my friend saying make a MySpace, I'll help you deck it out!
I'm like "whatever" so I make one and lose track of it.
Then he'd say, you're never on MySpace.
"Yeah dude, It's kinda boring."
And that is what happened, another 4 times.
