Looking for Any Help you might have......

Post by NightReaver[CotC] »

I have a friend that has been to school for graphic design and I have seen some of his work and it is pretty good...but I am not a pro in that field....

Anyone here have experience in the field or have a friend that is in this line of work.

My friend is trying to just get his foot in the door....what should he do to expedite this? I will try and post some of his stuff as soon as he sends me the digital copies.

Thanks in advance for any advice you or your friend might have....

Depending on where he wants to go - print work or web work.. that would tell you where to send samples... but before even attempting something like that, I would highly suggest two things that my company looks at when hiring someone in that area - 1) paid or unpaid internship .. the experience in the industry that is sought to be employed in always looks good, and 2) a portfolio and possible references.. for example... free work for people that need some gfx work done.. so that a) you can show it off later on, and b) you have a reference to how good or bad you did that a potential employer could look at.
