BF2 Ranks?

Post by warf »

What levl is everybody?

I have made it to Lance Cpl. I have about 3000 points. With CPL at 10,000 its gonna take a while. Some of these folks have gotten to Gunnery Sgt and beyond. Thats a lot of keyboard time.

Latest favorite point racking processs:

Support class, ride in full black hawk capping flags, and have friends constantly throw grenades!

100 points a map, easy.

Nice stats. I am a Lance Corporal as well. At work so I can't acess my stats right now.

WE REALLY ALL NEED TO GET TOGETHER, WITH THE COMBINED INFO AND SKILLS, C/W TS WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO ROCK!!!
A good plan, violently executed now, is better than a perfect plan next week. A pint of sweat, saves a gallon of blood. No poor bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making other bastards die for their country.

I'm stuck at PFC. My points won't increment.

I played an hour last night, was told I got the anti-aircraft badge, and yet I have the same number of points and no badge.

I'm pissed - I may start playing SP and turn the weapon locks off. Except that in SP, the 'bots can't fly choppers worth a damn either.

I don't even think I've increased one rank yet...
Right now, especially after that accident, I just don't seem to have the drive to play games anymore.

I'm sure it'll change once we get our server up and running though.

Does anyone have a guitar they're willing to depart with? I think I want to take that up as a new hobby. :)

I haven't passed one rank barrier yet... but I haven't played recently either... thing is... they have them so high... you have to (literally) play hours between each rank and it gets to be more and more between ranks... :(

Were you on a ranked server?

Sometimes there is a delay after a game ends before the stats are updated.

Yeah, my server list is set to "ranked only".

I'll check it out when I get homo, but I think I'm stuck at the same point level for the last two+ hours of play. I might have to get ahold of EA on this one.

There was a couple of days were I was returned to private with no awards, points etc. It all came back last night. Wierd.

Oh BTW, whom ever had the idea of following an enemy fighter with your bombs ready and heat sinkers off, HATS OFF!!!!! Been using that tactic with great success! You follow behind them, without your heat seeking missiles off and they have no idea you are there. Wait till they’re nice and level, switch to heat seekers when you’re right on their tail, and the don’t have a chance. BOOOM>>>>>>> 2 points.

I love this game.

hehe yeah, I actually find its easier to score air-to-air kills with the damn missiles off and just using the guns :P

The trick to being successful in the planes in BF2 is to remember that its very difficult to look around in that cockpit, youre locked viewing forward except for a couple cheesy chasecams that really suck for viewing. For the first while this frusterated me to no end because as a pilot its important to be aware of your behind at all times. But now I'm starting to use it to my advantage, knowing they cant see anything but in front of them either. So far my most successful evasion tactic is to do a sharp 90-degree turn followed by pointing my plane way up into the sun and using the afterburner, that tends to lose most enemy pilots fairly easily -- they dont look up.

What the AC need is mouse-look - where you fly the plane with the joystick, but turn your head with the mouse. You can do that in wheeled vehicles...

My brothers and I hop in the two-seater planes and the copilot when not firing the bombs looks around, they can mouselook in the cockpit. Works fairly well. My "not-hesperos" brother was almost an airforce pilot but got held back due to a heart condition, so when us two are up there we're dangerous hehe.
