Recentley a beloved actor James Doohan who played Scotty on the Original Star Trek Series, it has been a while of his death. Scotty was not only my favorite character in all the Star Trek series there is a little known fact about him. Before Star Trek he was a Captain in the Royal Canadian Artillery. While leading his men into battle on D-Day, Doohan was shot six times and wounded in the leg and hand, and eventually lost a finger. For the remainder of the war, he became a pilot observer, and received the dubious distinction of being called the "craziest pilot in the Canadian Air Forces." I bet most of you guys didnt know that and that makes him to the CoD legion even a more of a hero then just the legendary phrase "Beem me up Scotty!"

You learn something every day!

But it's sad news about this man's passing. He left an impression on us all. I'd imagine that he has better warp drives in heaven any way.

Just found out. With his death he will be cremated and they will be shooting his ashs to space like Gene Rodenberrys on his wishes.
