I'm baffled. The picture on my laptop screen is barely visible. I can just barely make it out because it is so dark. It just seemed to have happened all of a sudden. One minute it was working and the next time I turned my laptop on, it wasn't working. I can hook it up to a spare monitor, but you can understand my concerns I'm sure. I'm trying to search the web to see if anyone else has had that problem, but thought I'd post here to see if anyone has any ideas. I've tried playing with the brightness but nothing has seemed to make a difference yet.
Thanks for any help. I guess worst case scenario is the monitor is fubar and I need to get it replaced, but it certainly should be under warranty still. I just hope they dont wipe my harddrive. New installs are always too much work.
Monitor woes

What is the make/model of the laptop?
One possible problem is the internal ribbon cable that carries the signal
from the laptop to the display. If you are lucky, it will be visible in the
middle of the laptop, between the hinges, and about 1 or 2 inches wide.
If so, try pressing your fingers against the lower center of the monitor
frame the holds the display. See if the display flickers or gets better,
in which case you can try to tighten the connection or replace the
ribbon.
