I miss Aide de Camp.

I always wanted to go flying with him.

Right now, there's a wargaming.net combat flight sim World of Warplanes. Made by the same guys that made World of Tanks. I'm too aggressive for WoTs, so I get killed a lot just charging out there, LOL. So, I play WoWP.

The sim is a free d/l - they try to nail you later to pay for "upgrades" that you can earn in-game, just more slowly.

I'd love to fly with (or against) ADC. I don't know how to do that (or do voice comms in-game), but I'm willing to learn!

And I miss all of it.

By the message timeline we're not too far off, just a few days. I will recon and see what it's like. I loved the idea of pre-missile dogfights where position and visual acuity was key.

Check your six.

I'm in, call sign Crapiticus. It appears there are some training modules to complete. Unsure about how to look behind me, need to toy around a bit but it could be some fun. My schedule is all over but will check back in the coming days to sure something up.

Excellent!

I just purchased a Tier I aircraft last night, so that you and I could fight together (or one another). You can use your mouse buttons to give you mouse-guided looks as to locations of enemy A/C. Several things I have yet to figure out:

1.) Voice comms. I know it's possible, because I see the stuff in the set-up menus. I don't know yet how to activate/use.

2.) Getting into a fight with your buddy (with or opposing).

3.) Training missions with a buddy.

I might have to goto the WoWP forums and ask some newb questions. Here I am with tricked out Tier V planes, and I don't know how to do this basic stuff. Mostly because the game is set up as a sort of team deathmatch. You can set wingman, do voice comms and all kinds of other great stuff - I just don't know how to do it. All I've been doing is flying and making XP/$$$. I wonder if I can give you money? I have a lot, and I don't spend every dime I make on upgrades...

I added Crapiticus to my contacts list.

Add me back - Rico_CotC

I'm not yet sure how to get in-game with a person.

I do know that the lower tiers are filled with ram-tards. Those guys that can't fight you, so they run into you with their plane. :/

In-game voice comms work.

Searching the skies for my target, drinking a beer, and eating pretzels.

Learning weird conversion tables. Experimenting. Appears in-game chat disabled tonight, adding you also was partially successful.

Three mid air collisions, which I will call ramming adventures. Fun stuff.

Still getting the hang of it. I don't see any options to play without getting into a larger group, but we should struggle to puzzle it out.

One of the options is "team training". No experience and no money, but you can create a "room" and populate with bots - and with folks who might happen to be in for a little team training.

I will be out of town this weekend, but I will be back Monday. I will try to get on @ 1900 and open a training room for Tier I & II only. Will populate with bots and we'll see if we can't get you in.

I have been on one time when folks were actually voice comming. Once.

Looks like I missed you by :45. In my estimation we are moving toward critical mass. I now have successfully added you as a friend. Got three kills, or seemed like I did tonight. Much fun.

My schedule is all over the place. Wednesday is out as is Friday. Most of Saturday is going to be spent painting the inside and planting outside. Sunday church. This leaves tomorrow possibly, Thursday and Saturday and Sunday nights free.

Still flying the welfare rides but it's all fun. Kind of kick started my interest, so now I have to search out a cockpit simulator that puts you inside the craft and prevents global/godlike views, etc.

I was on for a half hour, but got tired of the Tier I ramtards. I have to figure out how to avoid those idiots. I think split-S or Immelmann, but I need to practice. OK, that's a rough schedule. I want to honor my challenge to Deathdealer also for a bit of Nazi Zombie killing. You can find some of my commentary on this on http://www.theville.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=3 where you can also find the server on which I play DoD:S.

I will also add WoWP to my Steam games directory, where I THINK Steam will report that I am in-game. I do not know this, because WoWP is not a Steam game.
