Anybody know diesel pickups?

I'm looking at a silverado 2500HD Diesel 17K miles. loaded.
I've read things about some of these overheating in hot climates pulling big loads.

I just bought a 4WD V8 TRD Tundra myself...
Been quite happy with how well that thing does off-road with no mods!
I have a couple cheezy videos of me mud wompin it on my myspace...

Brought the new (to me) baby home yesterday. Wow, what a truck.
The power of the thing is amazing. The turbo really gets the diesel going. 20+ MPG on the highway. Jury still out for around town.
I hooked up my 12 foot enclosed trailer with my hunting junk in it. I normally pull it with a 1500 Suburban. This 2500HD doesn't even know it's there!

I owned a 98 2500 GMC Diesel to pull my 5th wheel. We would go to the mountains pulling a 27' fifth and either a boat or 2 place snowmobile trailer behind it. YOu would barley know you were pulling. And fuel millage was great. 110 KPH fully loaded (70 MPH) and go go go!
Congrats you should love it... and it's a GM, can't get better.
BTW what year? The only major concern until about 93 I think was the engine oil cooling lines to the rad would sometime shear and you would loose all your engine oil n one heck of a hurry.

It's a 2005. I'm going hunting in the AM so it sjould get nice and muddy!

Warf - you're nuts!
...or maybe smart - animals would be frozen at 20 deg! Should make hunting as easy as going to the freezer!
