I only have these two options, because I'm looking for a preference between the two - not of all search engines, because .. I, as well, prefer Google.
BTW - the ask.com results and site is fairly close to Google now.

Google is taking over the world.
As for the two specific ones, I'd have to use them both a bit tomorrow and I can give an opinion.

Most of the time I use google. But at school, since the internet is heavily restricted and blocked from doing just about anything, Yahoo provides a nice loophole where we can just go to one of their foreign Yahoo pages and use the search engine there, and it bypasses the school's filter. We tried to do it on Google but it didn't work, so yahoo is the best one for school.

+1 for being a Google'er...
Of the two options, if Google fell into the Ocean when Kalifornia has it's "big Earthquake" then I guess Ask is the less annoying one. I'd prefer not to be blindsided by Yahoo!'s ad's even if the search results aren't perfect.

I like to use Copernic Agent Professional. It searches over 120 search engines at the same time. It also filters out duplicates and broken links. You have to pay for the prgram but I can help anyone who rather keep there money and walk on a peg leg.

Google yo!
Where's the "Google kicks more ass than any search engine out there" option?
I'd vote for that one.
As for your comment Dark... Google does bypass the filter... but not the google you're thinking of...
You have to go to:
http://www.googlee.com
And then you can do whatever the heck you want!
But i guess if i had to choose one, i'd go with Ask.com just because Bruce Waynes butler Alfred is cool... so all butlers that help you out must be.
Plus jeeves is just a really cool unusual name.
