Floating around the entertainment news is a story about a rapper who calls himself "Proof." He was really Deshaun Holton, and was a friend of rapper Eminem. The guy was 32 years old and was out at a bar where he got into an argument with a bouncer. Sometime around 4:30 AM he got into a fight with the bouncer. One of the witnesses described the incident as, "Proof knocked the dude down and stood over him with gun in hand, Proof shot first. The bouncer on the ground didn't shoot Proof, another bouncer did. Proof was shot four times--twice in the head and twice in the chest/stomach area."

Proof is survived by five children and was not licensed to carry a weapon.

My question, WTF was he doing at a bar until 4:30 AM with 5 kids at home?

Not surprising.

Escaping reality, like most deadbeats do.

Not all people who drink at 4:30 in the morning are deadbeats Dark.

With five kids, you have to be "weirded out" (and i use the term loosly) to go out for drinks at 4:30 in the morning.

We can analize the situation all we want, but the fact is, we dont know exactly what he was thinking when he did this. He could have been drunk; he could have been very upset as to his position in society; he could be any number of these things.

People carry guns ("s" replacable with a "z") for all sorts of reasons.

personaly... i can't and don't drink....

What i see in the incedent is our community going to the point of violence for a petty argument. I dont see a reason just to pull a gun out cause of an argument, all i can see myself pulling a gun is in self defense (and i dont carry a gun with me). So i just think there needs to be more security with concealed weapons permit and the distibution of firearms. Also, the bouncer should have taken it into his own hands by not letting "Proof" get to the point of pulling a gun on him. And if you dont like some of my spelling, to bad!

It's crappy parenting. I'm referring to the parents of Deshaun.
Also, you are assuming that he had 5 kids at home... odds are he had 5 kids in various places.
