We spec’d a cheat on COD last night.

Serpent, Dart, Mopar and I were on a COD server last night, we had one player that was dominating everyone by a huge margin. Serpent specked him and lo and behold, he was on roof tops, looking thru walls etc. I also quit and started to spec him as well. Definitely a cheat and very blatant about it. So we need to beware. We advised the admin of the situation, seemed that he didn’t respond, so we promptly left. They went from 8 players to 4 in a hurry, hopefuly taking the wind out of his sails. Not sure why punkbuster didn’t boot this guy.

If anyone has ever used a 'no clipping' mode while playing a single player game, to walk through walls, b/c you didnt wanna go find a key to a certain door or something -- this was identical. heh

Punkbuster has to be constantly updated by its programmers to continue to catch the new cheats -- given that CoD is now an "old game" the updates will be fewer and farther between. The Punkbuster programmers are probably hard at work keeping the BF2 version of punkbuster up to date rather than worrying about CoD.
We'll see if they update CoD PB anytime soon or whether CoD is being thrown to the wolves.
