A couple of questions, and not to insult, but did you use a template and then master the colors and concept yourself? And, what program is it you are using?

It's too bad that we can't overtool and re-create the Campquake.org website as we had discussed in another thread. I think if we took volunteers and gave each specific duties and a timetable we could make a really nice updated looking website with huge content.

Anyway, yours looks good my friend.
I get my templates from http://www.openwebdesign.org
and I use a free designer called NVU http://www.nvu.com

email me a copy of the pages from campquake.org (just the content) and pick out a template (if not I'll choose one) and I will be happy to whip up a test look and feel.

The template is cool...the owd site is awesome....its where I got my template, too, iirc.. ;)

As to anyone asking or commenting on coding - there is no better way to code a page, than by hand - using a text based editor of any sort... notepad, vi, etc... as Neo noted.. but personally I like pico or nano ...and use vi as a last resort. lol

So I don't come off as a lame WYSIWYG designer.....I create the pages with NVU since I can't code from scratch then I tweak with notepad.

these days I tend to use Dreamweaver to build pages. But I honestly never use any of its WYSIWYG stuff. I always end up using the text HTML editor, but I find the auto-preview useful.
I haven't tried any others for a looooong time!
