Its Mentos in Diet Coke, and it has to be diet. Basically what happens is there are little bumps on the surface of the mentos, and when it goes through the Diet Coke the trapped Carbon Dioxide molecules are dwarn out of the soda by the mentos, and release themselves very quickly. All the sugar in regular coke makes the reaction very blah cause it holds the CO2 in much better.

I heard somewhere Diet Dr. Pepper shoes a little more reactivity than Diet Coke.
