Merry Belated...
Merry Christmas (Seasons Greetings) to all! All the best to you and yours throughout this holiday season.
ps. I am into the following games now:
PS3 format
Battlefield 3 (CD is in the mail)
Rainbow 6 (Las Vegas)
Infamous 2
I also want to get into Assasin's Creed - Has anyone played this, I am not sure whether to start with the first version and work my way up??
At the lake I have a Wii system and COD MW3, Really good so far but my online would not work well as our internet is slower there.
So a bit of a resurgence for me in the gaming field. No PC versions though. I am using my Buzzed [CotC] for all my log ins!

Re: Merry Belated...
Back at you brother!
I've had great computer woe as all of my systems crashed for various reasons. No matter how hard I try I can never fully emerse myself into the Wii or console game, perhaps it's a keyboard mouse thing for me, so I have zero console games to report.
I have recently repaired my desktop and loaded up steam, re-installed Left 4 Dead and was playing the last few days. What a riot. I know I am 4-5 years behind the curve but I jumped out of my seat several times. I have had a hankering to install DOD and the Rico-Zombie-Suave thing, also COD and Counterstrike.
Then on Steam yesterday I notice all of the Quakes for sale for $7.99 or some ridiculous price, and I might just buy that. I own most, but don't know where many are, and putting them all into the "cloud" might be nice for future crashes, etc.
Also have Modern Warfare on Steam, Half-Life 2, Counterstrike, etc.
Camp wise,

Re: Merry Belated...
Been doing Team Fortress 2, that's about it.
Re: Merry Belated...
Hey guys... I'd like to wish all of you a happy new year! It has been so long since I have spoke with any of you. It is good to see that CotC is still lurking about. I am predominantly playing left for dead 2 (played a some left for dead also and definitely still would! So hit me up crappy pants!) Been playing a bit of COD MW2, but am really enjoying l4d2 atm.
Just finished my masters degree in education this past semester and got a new grad gift:
core i5 2500K
16gb ripjaws memory
geforce 560Ti (x2)
That should give me some good fps in games! (at least for the time being)
Cheers

Help a Brother out. I know for a fact you would seriously rock at this game. I will warn you - it's addictive. I was on for two hours today, much to my wife's dismay.
Re: Merry Belated...
So BF3 really rocks. Spending WAY too many hours on it but "mother - and grandmother (we are grandparents now)" doesn't overly mind (yea right). I am playing on the PS3 consol but REALLY do miss the desk top and keyboards as there are more options on key boards.Buzzed wrote:Merry Christmas (Seasons Greetings) to all! The one thing I have not been able to to is get onto an empty server and just play around. All the servers are populated automatically or need at least 8 people to start the game. I am really behind on my jet skills (and all other skills) and it is really hard to catch up. You need to earn points in order to get additional warefare items for all aspects of the game. Using Jets (BTW we are now HOME TO THE WINNIPEG JETS HOCKEY TEAM ) I only have the machine gun. Very difficult to take out seasoned opponents when they have flares and heat seakers.
There are some other items and I am slowly learning how to use them.
Tried some on line COD3 at the lake (I though our internet would be laggy) but it seemed to work quite well. I just have to be carefull about how much time I devote to gaming at the lake.
I really do miss the companionship and teamanship with working with fellow clan members. I do join a"company" on line so that you spawn together etc, but just not the same.

Re: Merry Belated...
Battlefield update.
Jets really do rock, I now have heat seakers and IR flares, helps a lot. Makes for a lot of fun, and some late nights as it is hard to quit. It does take a bit to amass some points to get the perks, but there are numerous ways to do this. Simply spotting enimies and someone else taking them out gives you points. It is like a steam roller, the more items you get the more points you start getting.

Re: Merry Belated...
This is happening on PS3?
Re: Merry Belated...
You bet. We bought a e PS3 to use as a blue ray player for the tv, but it has a few perksCrappy Pants wrote:This is happening on PS3?
Try standing 4 feet in front of a 52 inch plazma screen in a shoot out or better yet flying a jet. My wife lauphs like crazy as I duck, lean into curves and almost fall over, quite the experience. So back to my original post, I am not sure I would want to go back to a small desk top screen.
++But Alas my jet fighting days get worse. I now find that although I have heat seekers, increased belt (bullet firing) speed and the first level of stealth, OTHERS have more to take me out. Down the road is missle detection, fire extenguishers (if you are hit badly, it is a way to stop further damage in the air) and only Battlefield knows what else. Every obtained item takes progressively more points to get. But a lot of fun trying.
I now have 3 assassin's creed cds at home (wife bought me a three pack for valantines day - nice wifey) but have not started them yet. Too much home life, snowmobiling, hockey, work, and BF3 going on right now. But they are just waiting..... precious.....

Re: Merry Belated...
In response to your question about Assassin's Creed. Start with the second one it is a better game. If you like the game then the latest game Revelations comes with a free copy of the first Assassin's creed.
Re: Merry Belated...
thanks Death. I have loaded and started the original. LOTS of levels etc. Wow it will take a long time to get through. It is a lot of fun and not as INTENSE as BF3 so it is fun to play at times.
