My wife was kind enough to add some video editing software to my gaming computer. (WTF, over?)
The quick-launch thingy gets put in the tray on boot-up, and I have no freakin' idea how to get rid of it.
I remember, vaguely, someone saying what the course of action is - can you tell me again, please?

Right-click it and see if there's an Options or Properties setting. And dive through some menu's to see if it has a disable on startup option.
If all else fails, click Start / point to Run / type MSCONFIG and press enter. Inside of MSCONFIG, look for the Startup Tab, find the application and uncheck it (disabling it from loading on startup.) Save and close the window. Then reboot when prompted.
Upon reboot, Windows will alert you that you're in a diagnostic startup mode and that some startup items are disabled. Check the Don't Bug Me Again box, and close the pop-up.
Now you're done.
