I woke up this morning and the thermomiter said it was 2 degrees outside. Then the news people reported that it was -17 with wind chill. Needless to say, school was canceled. I remember when it actually had to snow for it to be a snow day. But i guess it was more of an "ice day". Everything was melting yesterday around 40 degrees, not its all frozen over.
Horray for extra time to study! (and game!)

Re: NO SCHOOL!!!
Geez, and that's in Farenheit? It's -20 or so with windchill here, in celsius! They won't close schools here unless there's a blizzard and several feet of snow.

Re: NO SCHOOL!!!
Funny story, the last time my university tried to close due to snow, the law school sued them for it and won, now we're not allowed to give any holidays due to weather. lol

Re: NO SCHOOL!!!
Its been -30C / -22F here all week, with wind chills around -49C / -56F
Schools closed one day when the wind was particularly strong. Some of the oil patch had to shut down production because the equipment froze. The trains are having trouble with their air brakes maintaining pressure properly...
but my car still starts

A good plan, violently executed now, is better than a perfect plan next week. A pint of sweat, saves a gallon of blood. No poor bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making other bastards die for their country.
