Bah, they should just legalize the shit and cease with all the he did, he did, he didnt, not sure about him.... yadda yadda. Puts everyone on a level playing surface if it is legalized. We all know that the russians or the like are one step ahead of the drug testers and that as long as it is illegal there will always be someone trying to get that edge over their adversaries.

Yeah, I'm with ya Mav. Big sports are often too quick to point fingers with this stuff and destroy someone's hero. Drug companies do not need to disclose "steroids" on their label for general public consumption. So how do you take an over the counter cream? It makes for a stupid combination and a lot of guess work.

These people are men, husbands, fathers first, then ball players. Freaking out because they used a drug to relieve or to reduce muscle pain is just nuts. My stinkin' dog needed a cream for a cut that he got on his foot to promote tissue repair and relieve itching. And one of the main ingredients was steroids. Ignoring the fact that steroids have positive benefits is a weak claim to ban the substance just because of the small few that might abuse it.

The problem is this: steriod abuse will literally kill you. And kids want to be in the bigs will start taking it early, and often. After all, how else are you gonna get into the bigs unless you're on the juice?

I guess the upside would be that there would be no family sports dynasties - steriod use will atrophy your testicles and make you sterile. Non-reversably sterile.

Yeah, there are a lot of things out there that have stuff in them. That's why you let the team doctors do your prescribing, and don't self-medicate. You're making huge money now - why screw around with it?

Or, you're still on the juice, and need to find an excuse so you can say "wasn't me."

Barry Bonds will never get into the Hall either, even if he breaks Aaron's HR record.

and do you think that this only occurs in baseball? aren't you a college football fan? I think anyone who tells you that steroids are not present in college sports has been smoking to much of that crack. Hell players get suspended in the nfl for failing drug tests just as often as other sports.

I don't really follow any sport that closely. I like a couple teams in a couple sports, but basically, I don't pay attention. Does have any bearing on me or any appeal really.

And of course football players use steroids. Everyone uses steroids. Shit theres probably steroids in the potato chips I ate at lunch. It's inevitable and pointless, but they are present probably even in the PBA.

But back to bashing baseball - last time I watched baseball was when I was payed and fed to fill seats at an Angles game a couple years ago. Even then I was reluctant.
