Dark's right... I'll vouch for NewEgg as being a reliable on-line retailer. You can use them. Good prices, good packaging for the ship, and they're trust worthy.

But you can also find these cards at a computer shop locally to you. Usually, you will pay full retail for the cards at a local shop, where as NewEgg marks the prices down. Check your local newspaper Sunday ad's and see if someone is selling them at a discount. Sometimes you'll find a $50 or $100 rebate with a card. Nvidia cards are typically designed identically to each other. Other vendors design the cards to overclock some. Also different vendors may extend the warranty or bundle a few games with the card. Typically you just want to verify that you have an open AGP or PCI-E slot and buy the appropriate card.

You can use two cards, IF your motherboard allows that and you have Windows XP Pro. In otherwords, maybe!

The Nvidia cards have better acceleration than you current card. And that in everything, 2D, 3D, and media. So you'll probably never look back. Now, if you go for a dual monitor desktop design, you might want that 2nd card to work.

Yeah, i didnt notice the prices were links.. untill you pointed that out Dark.

As for dual-video carding, will it still work if i have Windows XP Media Center, and not XP Pro?

But I guess if the card is really as good as that, there is no need to worry about dual video carding.

I'll see what i can wrangle up.
