My CS:S is messed up.

It isn't working, I've tried everything on steampowered.com and valvesoftware.com, and I just wanted to tell everyone that I won't be playing CSS until they fix it. Sorry.

mine messes up from time to time and re-installing does not work. Ussually I just leave it alone for couple days then come back and it works.
very annoying

My problem is that CSS does not run. Reinstalling from scratch does not help, as it is a problem with shader shaderapidx9.dll.

shaderapidx9.dll is I believe part of directx 9. I seriously doubt that you will see a fix for this from steam, ever...

Try going to http://www.microsoft.com/directx and try downloading the latest directx. Try to install/reinstall it if the installer will let you. Then try running CSS again.

let me know if that doesnt work.

I'm gonna have to buy a new video card that is DX9, so give me a few more weeks till i play again, sorry.
