Eh, I've never had a problem picking pockets... There's always a chance you'll be caught no matter how much higher your skill is in relation to your target, so remember to save...
Has anybody broken out of jail yet? I go through lockpicks like they're water with the auto-attempt option (I'm not very good at manual yet...), but in order to get out of prison once you're caught you need to be damn good at picking locks manually. You only get one lockpick in prison =X
I'm about to start the Dark Brotherhood quest line, so then I get to play around with putting poisoned apples into people's inventories. Oh, joy! <3

well it a great game, nuff sid there, but if you want money i suggest kepp with the arena, it gives a fair bit, otherwise if you can stand it just go around pick-pocketing, that woked for me
Yeah, the arena works, OR!!!
You can exploit the $#!!# out of the Vampire Objective bug like I did! heh!
When you turn level 11, or something like that, you are bitten as you sleep and become a vampire. When you finish that quest, one of the characters involved (a Count in Siradyl )SP?) will offer you a reward $2,500 cash. Keep talking to him about that reward, and he'll keep giving it to you! You can even go back later and refill if you run out of cash. I took $250,000 from him, and now I own lots of houses! Mwahahahahaha!
Some people like to stay a Vampire because it boosts your abilities. I'm just sayin' that there's a huge cash benifit for converting back.
