Altering my handle

First, I can still be the Rad Barn. Second, to let out a little secret I've never liked the shorthand Red, ever since some random guy said it was gay when your sister referred to me as Red in an in-game chat message lol.

Nope it doesn't.

As the story goes -- I was 14 at the time and had just downloaded a copy of the Quake1 Demo, and it was fun -- even on my 14.4 modem running over AOL. I was browsing around some quake sites when I came across this really cheesy site... black background, grey text, animated skull GIF images with blinking red eyes.. I was immediately hooked. A lengthy email later I had applied to join Clan of the Camper. But I needed a name! ARGH!

I have always been into air combat and was always fascinated by the story of the Red Baron -- so it was the easiest to choose as my new handle.

Fast forward a couple years, Red Baron is leading CotC's second legion into battle and having a blast -- The Camping Canucks they were called. I found my own handle to be lacking... unique-ness, heh. But when youre leading a legion and everyone knows you by that handle its difficult to change. So I took the space out -- RedBaron[CotC], and swallowed any ill feelings toward my handle.

Fast forward some more, Asswoop changes to AW, to BD, back to AW... aCe changes to FLiTz... It seems evident that it is possible to make changes.

I have conceded that I've been RedBaron for 10 years and changing now wouldnt feel right -- for you guys or myself, even now I look at just Baron and feel odd. However, I can't stand being called Red anymore lol. I've just outgrown it, I was 14 when I chose it, I'm almost 24 now -- I just need to make this small adjustment that I hope you all can live with.

Wow Red that is a lot of years of FPS's under your belt. I am only 24 now and barley started playing FPS's this year. I have always played RTS's and RPG's and the like. I never cared for FPS's until recently they struck my fancy. I am sure my recent change of heart has to do with the lack of quality in the RTS's and RPG's of today. There is way more focus on FPS's these days. We lost black isle studios(a sub of interplay) maker of all the forgotten realms games like Balders gate and icewind dale. But this does lead to some very interesting hybrid games, check out http://www.projectoffset.com/ several employees from Black Isle went to this company.

I have been wathing that Project for a bit and find it interesting and am waiting to see a gameplay demo movies can show you what they want you to see, not what you really see
