Worth buying now or waiting for new one?
I don't own CoD or the expansion. Many of you have been shouting in my general direction about, "buy it now, now, NOW!". Well... with CoD2 coming out so soon, should I still get CoD 1?

According to that, CoD2 isnt due out until Fall.... but even then it will take time for everyone to even get it.... and since CoD and CoD:UO have both been out a while, I would get CoD:UO since it will probably be the most popular for the next 12 months or so... (in my opinion...)
(sidenote: personally, i plan to get CoD2 when it comes out...probably within the first couple weeks. heeheh)
I'll be first in line to pick up COD2! I sure wouldn't wait until fall to get COD and UO, like Serpent mentioned, even if it comes out in Oct, it will take a while before we are all on it.
A good plan, violently executed now, is better than a perfect plan next week. A pint of sweat, saves a gallon of blood. No poor bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making other bastards die for their country.

Plus, depending on the system requirements for CoD2 we may not elect to form a legion around it and save it as a game we play ocassionally.
This has been a problem the clan has had to deal with ever since ID Software released Quake2. Up until that point EVERY member played Quake1 and nothing else. Quake2 came out and divided us.
Ever since Quake2 more and more games have been coming out and they continue to divide us further. Battlefield2 and CoD2 are big threats on the horizon.
Personally I wish theyd stop making games so we can just stick to the ones we have now lol
If youre the type of person who loves to get all the latest games then thats cool, youll always be able to play with just about any of us. If youre the type that prefers to stick to only one or two games and not rush to buy more, thats okay too, CotC has always had a few members that play the older games. Heck we STILL play quake1 from time to time.
Its your call, but make it based on whether YOU want to try CoD:UO rather than trying to guess whether the Legion will remain focused on UO or shift to CoD2.
Oh and just ignore the people that shout "buy it now, now, NOW!". hehe
